Well, it’s nearing December and the new hunt for the Starbucks planner begins for me and Cassey.
Gunning for the Starbucks planner has been a tradition for the two of us since we started it last year.
At first, we just wanted to have the planners (no mistakes to that, it’s really in “plural”) to have the coupons on it for ourselves and sell the planners to someone who wanted it. But then we found out that Starbucks no longer provide those free drinks coupons that they have included in their 2005 planners and the planners were quite presentable, so we just decided to keep it to ourselves and have some of it as gifts to friends and relatives.
After December was over, and after all of the brain-freezing slurp of Toffee nut frappes (we were really dismayed when the toffee nut became out of stock around end of december), all-in-all we have managed to claim 5 Starbucks planner for that year and here are the recipients as follows (in chronological order):

- Francis (me.. hehehe)
- Cassey
- Gerson Mahinay (Cassey’s Dad)
- Joie (Cassey’s friend)
Most of our stamp collection for the planners was done in Starbucks Waltermart, Makati. That branch is closest to me and Casoy’s hearts not only because it was the first Starbucks Branch that we’ve went to and we were frequent customers of it, but also because of the warm people who were there to serve our coffees.
We eventually became friends with most of their mainstay staffs (especially Starbucks’ Lhyne.. Hi to you Lhyne !!!). We even got to the point that ordering at the cash register will just entail us to give out a smile and we’ll just have a smile in return from their staff and a questions of “Venti Mocha Frappe for Francis? Grande Caramel Frappe for Cassey?” (alam na kasi nila ang madalas naming orderin).
Our hunt for this year’s planner officially began last November 9, when I decided to treat my housemates (waw! Feeling Big Brother i2!!) Casoy, Jane, Agnes & Aga John with some frappes at Starbucks Waltermart, Makati.
