As of 8am this morning, the Official website of the Philippines’ Land Transportation Office (www.lto.gov.ph) was hacked by a self proclaimed turkish hacker in the name of iSKORPiTX.

The defacement was even made possible due to the fact that the website runs on the Windows platform (as opposed to the common linux web server).

The identity of iSKORPiTX is a bit shady but some authorities say that the culprit is a 46 years old Turkish who has already made his name in hacking by defacing at least 21,549 websites in just one blow last May 17, 2006. Other statistics show that he has hacked an approximate 117,000 websites since 2003.
