As of 8am this morning, the Official website of the Philippines’ Land Transportation Office (www.lto.gov.ph) was hacked by a self proclaimed turkish hacker in the name of iSKORPiTX.

The defacement was even made possible due to the fact that the website runs on the Windows platform (as opposed to the common linux web server).

Well, it’s nearing December and the new hunt for the Starbucks planner begins for me and Cassey.

Gunning for the Starbucks planner has been a tradition for the two of us since we started it last year.

This example shows one of the limitations in Java especially in dealing with Floating Point calculations.

Direction:

  1. Download the FloatingPoint.java file
  2. Compile it using the “javac FloatingPoint.java” command (If you dont have the Java SDK, and only have the JRE, then you can just download this compiled class — FloatingPoint.class)

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!has been online for nearly a month now and feedbacks are coming-in on the positive side.
Frankly speaking, in my experience in the web earning arena, it offers more earning in CPC (Cost per Click) versus the dominant Adsense, Bidvertiser, Kontera and other common Advertising Networks that I have tried.
WidgetBucks is an interactive Advertisement that promises up to $7 dollars per click on each of the advertisement (pretty high compared to the existing ones). You are also given $25 dollars on your sign-up with them.
Similar to Adsense and Bidvertiser, they provide you with a code to paste to a portion of your website. The links are customizable wherein you could select on various categories to have a better grip on your targeted viewers.
A sample of this Advertisement runs like this one:

The complete result of the board passers for the recently concluded CPA Licensure Examination this October 2007 was already released by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) in their website.

In aide to PRC in disseminating the information and to lessen their server burden in servicing inquiries, I have posted the List of the Board Passers here in my blog making the Official CPA Board Passers’ List as reference.
